Robert Hollingworth directs Purcell
Leading conductor and baroque interpreter Robert Hollingworth rejoins AAM to direct a programme of Henry Purcell. Hollingworth’s glittering career spans nearly 40 years of conducting vocal ensembles, most notably I Fagiolini, which he founded at university in 1986.
Featuring a veritable smorgasbord of Purcellian favourites, including the complete music to Oedipus Rex, selections from Dioclesian, Celestial Music and a number of standalone vocal highlights, these concerts promise to satisfy even the most voracious of Purcell lovers.
