Christopher Hogwood’s recording of Handel’s Messiah is considered to be one of the finest of all time, winning accolades and awards at the time of its release and still revisited as a definitive version of this magnificent work.

The "Foundling Hospital" version is used – that performed on 5 April 1754 at the Covent Garden Theatre and repeated at the Foundling Hospital on 15 May.
