Handel recordings with Richard Egarr

The AAM plans to record several discs of Handel with the record label Harmonia Mundi USA. The principal aim is to have recorded all Handel’s instrumental music published as Opp.1–7 in time for the 250th anniversary of the composer’s death, in 2009. The first of these discs is now available for purchase from AAM CD Direct.

Haydn symphony cycle

The Haydn symphonies series was conceived as fifteen 3-CD sets. The first ten sets have been recorded and released by Decca, but are not now widely available. This site is the best source for Volumes 1, 2, 3 and 7; you may experience difficulty in obtaining Volumes 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10.

The 31st CD in this series, comprising symphonies 76 and 77, was the free CD with the May 2005 issue of BBC Music Magazine.

Mozart piano concerto cycle (Robert Levin fortepiano)

The Mozart piano concertos series was conceived as thirteen single CDs. Eight CDs have been recorded and released by Decca. Both the following CDs are still available from this site: K37/K39–41 (Nos 1–4) and K175/K449/K451 (Nos 5, 14 and 16). You may experience difficulty in obtaining the following six CDs: K413/K415, K456/K459, K453/K466, K482/488, K450/K537 and K271/K414.
