2017-18 Cambridge season booking opens
In the intimate surroundings of West Road Concert Hall, the season of five concerts features soloists from AAM in programmes exploring the musical impact of cross-European migration, and the ‘reversed fortunes’ of Telemann and his (at the time) lesser-known contemporary, Bach.
Soprano Carolyn Sampson celebrates English song, from Dowland to Arne; and a gorgeous programme of heart-rending secular and sacred vocal music is the perfect showcase for the pairing of soprano Keri Fuge and countertenor Tim Mead.
The final concert includes music by Haydn and his contemporary Dussek: directed by Richard Egarr, it will feature a concerto for fortepiano, played by Richard on an instrument modelled on that which Dussek himself would have played and composed.
