AAM departs for China and Australia
The AAM has embarked on a four-concert tour of the Far East, where the orchestra will give the first-ever performance of JS Bach’s complete Brandenburg Concertos in China and celebrate the centenary of the University of Western Australia.
In Australia we’ll be playing in the very un-ancient setting of the recently-built Albany Entertainment Centre, where our principals will give a performance of baroque chamber music. We’ll also be appearing twice in Perth Concert Hall: first we'll be giving a performance of JS Bach's Brandenburg Concertos, and then we'll be teaming up with the St George’s Cathedral Consort Choir for Haydn’s The Creation.
Before arriving in Australia, though, we’ll be playing in Shanghai Concert Hall, where we are very excited and deeply honoured to be giving the first live performance of the complete Brandenburg Concertos in China.
