Instructions for next season
“Such Gentleman as are desirous of continuing their subscription for the next Season, are requested to enter their Names in the Book now lying on the Table, and pay their Subscription to the Treasurer.

N.B. Such Subscribers who may wish, to propose any Candidates to fill up Vacancies which may happen, are desired to enter their Names and Places of Abode as early as possible, they being to be ballotted for in Rotation, as they appear in the List”

Attendance at the concerts of the original Academy of Ancient Music was limited to those subscribing for the season: as this last notice shows, they were often over-subscribed.
