| * indicates founder members of the AAM Society | ||
The Academy of Ancient Music is proud of its many achievements in the past 30 years during which it has grown from one mans artistic creation into an established organisation renowned throughout the world. The vision for the future promises expansion and innovation, in terms of both the quantity and areas of work the AAM undertakes.
Many readers of this page will be surprised to learn that the AAMs current position has been achieved without public or private funding, and it remains the case that the AAM is funded solely on its own finite resources.
To enable the growth envisaged in the future artistic plans of the AAMs directors, we are now looking to attract private funding and are turning initially to those that believe in the AAMs work and recognise its achievements.
If you would like to be closely involved in this ambition, we invite you to join the AAM Society, the inner circle of patrons whose donations will help turn the vision into reality.
Our target is to raise £150,000 each year.
Membership of the Society is by annual donation to the AAM (registered charity No. 1085485). There are six levels of annual donation:
| Hogwood Circle | £10,000 or more |
| Principal Patron | £5,000£9,999 |
| Patron | £2,500£4,999 |
| Principal Benefactor | £1,000£2,499 |
| Benefactor | £500£999 |
| Donor | £250£499 |
The AAM Society was launched in November 1999, and those who joined the Society in its first six months are known as Founder Members.
As a major donor, you will enjoy access to and a close association with the artists and the organisation, and share in the future plans and activities of the AAM. All members will be listed by name in the programme for concerts promoted by the AAM and also on this page of this web site.
Just as the AAMs own activities are international, likewise our aim is for the AAM Society to have members in every country it visits, to encourage as wide as possible an involvement in the AAMs future by its supporters, wherever they are in the world.
Please do consider joining the AAM Society. Your contribution will help secure an exciting future for the AAM.
